The Students' Union
The Student’ Union is an organization made up of representatives of all students. It stands up for the interests of students. As students, you are often underrepresented in university committees. This is exactly where the student representation is there for you. It wants to represent your interests and help you to have a greater say and a say in your everyday university life.
This works via the various committees that make up the student representation. Here is an overview of all the committees (for now in German):

What does the student body do?
The political work of the student representatives mainly takes place in the “Referate”. These are open working groups. This means that any student can take part in any meeting, the dates of which can always be found on the homepage. You can find more information about the departments here.
Of course, all students decide on the basic positions and orientations of the student representatives in the votes at their respective “Fachbereich” meetings. These votes are compiled and counted by the Student Council. You can find out more about the results of these basic political decisions here
